Gold prices continued their upward trend on Friday, rising for a third consecutive session in both international and local markets.
In the international bullion market, the price of gold climbed by US$51 per ounce to US$4,319.
According to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of gold per tola in Pakistan increased by Rs5,100, reaching Rs454,336. The price of 10 grams of gold also rose by Rs4,372 to Rs389,519.
Silver prices also moved higher. The price of silver per tola increased by Rs280 to Rs6,939, while the price of 10 grams of silver rose by Rs240 to Rs5,949.
