Trump Says Iran Memorandum Not Final, Warns Military Action Could Resume

Jarida Report

US President Donald Trump said on Wednesday that the memorandum of understanding with Iran is not a final agreement and warned that military action could resume if Tehran fails to meet US expectations.

Speaking alongside Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi at the G7 summit in France, Trump stressed that the current arrangement remains provisional.

“It’s a memorandum of understanding. And if I don’t like it, we’ll go back to shooting at them, dropping bombs on their head. If I don’t like it, if they don’t behave, we’ll go right back to dropping bombs right smack in the middle of their head, OK?” he said.

Trump also claimed he had spoken with Syria’s leadership about efforts to counter Hezbollah.

Commenting on the nuclear issue, he expressed confidence that the agreement would prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons, saying there was a “99.99% chance” that Tehran would never obtain one.
