Postmortem Finds Hania Died from Multiple Gunshot Wounds, Severe Internal Injuries

Jarida Report

The postmortem report of nine-year-old Hania, who was killed during the CCD firing incident in Chakwal, has concluded that she died from multiple gunshot wounds that caused extensive internal injuries and severe blood loss.

According to the report, Hania suffered 11 gunshot-related injuries and wound marks. Medical experts said the injuries caused catastrophic damage to vital organs, leading to massive bleeding and the failure of her heart and lungs.

A bullet critically damaged her right lung, causing blood to accumulate in the chest cavity, while her liver and portions of both the large and small intestines were also severely injured. Doctors further noted a major fracture of her right thigh bone.

The report documented deep entry and exit wounds to the right side of her chest, abdomen, thigh and left elbow. A metallic bullet fragment recovered from her body has been handed over to investigators as evidence.

Medical examiners determined that all injuries were inflicted before death and were severe enough to cause death almost immediately. The report also noted that approximately six to eight hours elapsed between her death and the postmortem examination.

Hospital authorities have handed over blood-stained clothing, X-rays and other forensic evidence to police as part of the ongoing investigation.
