PM’s Switzerland Visit Cancelled After US-Iran Agreement Signed Electronically

Jarida Report

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has cancelled his planned visit to Switzerland, diplomatic sources said on Thursday.

The Pakistani delegation, led by the prime minister, had been scheduled to depart for Switzerland on Thursday night for meetings related to the US-Iran peace process. However, sources confirmed that the planned visit to Bürgenstock has been called off.

Earlier in Islamabad, Sharif signed the memorandum of understanding in his capacity as a mediator. The agreement also bears the electronic signatures of US President Donald Trump and Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian.

In an earlier statement, the prime minister confirmed that the electronic signing process had been completed and said the US-Iran agreement had come into force with immediate effect.
