PIMS Says Imran Khan Underwent Scheduled Eye Treatment

Jarida Report

The Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) on Monday confirmed that imprisoned PTI founder Imran Khan underwent a scheduled eye procedure on Sunday, marking his fifth intravitreal injection.

According to a statement issued by the hospital, the 74-year-old former premier was brought from Adiala Jail for follow-up ophthalmic treatment. Doctors examined him before the procedure and found him clinically stable.

PIMS said an Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) scan showed improvement in his condition. The injection was administered under microscopy guidance after informed consent was obtained and all standard medical protocols were followed.

The hospital added that Imran Khan remained stable before, during and after the procedure and was discharged the same day with instructions for further care and follow-up treatment.
