“Karachi Begins Forced Repatriation of 16,138 Afghan Nationals

Authorities in Karachi have begun the forced repatriation of 16,138 Afghan nationals who were residing illegally in the city. This action follows the end of a voluntary return period on March 31, 2025. Over 150 individuals have already been detained as part of the operation. Afghan nationals are being returned to Afghanistan through holding camps and transit points.
