On May 15, 2025, a bomb targeted the vehicle of local Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) leader Maulana Noorullah near Shahzad Madrassah in Azam Warsak, South Waziristan. The explosion occurred close to a police station, but Maulana Noorullah and his companions, Maulana Ishaq and Maulana Amanullah, escaped unharmed. Police confirmed there were no casualties, and an investigation is underway. This incident follows a series of attacks on JUI-F leaders in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, including a March 14 mosque bombing that injured district chief Abdullah Nadeem and three others.
