Four Witnesses Identify Anmol Pinky In Karachi Drug Case

Jarida Report

KARACHI: Four witnesses have identified Anmol, alias Pinky, in a drug possession case being heard by an Additional District and Sessions Court in Karachi.

The witnesses included Lady Constable Sonia Ashraf, Investigation Officer Mansoor, Sub-Inspector Abdul Sattar and Assistant Sub-Inspector Aurangzeb. They told the court that the accused had been arrested within the jurisdiction of Garden police station.

Public Prosecutor Shakeel Abbasi said the Counter Terrorism Department had identified the accused and argued that her call detail record showed contacts with alleged drug dealers. The court summoned additional witnesses for the next hearing.

Separately, the Special Investigation Unit submitted an interim charge sheet against Anmol Pinky, about six months after her arrest. The court accepted the charge sheet and transferred the case to the District and Sessions Court for further proceedings.

Police have accused her of operating a drug trafficking network in Karachi. The allegations remain subject to judicial proceedings.
