Balochistan to Name Duki Road After Dr Mahnoor Nasar

Jarida Report

Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti has announced that a major road in Duki district will be named after Dr Mahnoor Nasar, honouring her courage, dedication and service to the community.

Following the chief minister’s directive, the provincial Local Government and Rural Development Department has issued a formal notification to implement the decision.

Dr Nasar suffered serious burn injuries after an accused allegedly threw acid on her face at Civil Hospital Quetta. Despite the attack and the challenges that followed, she continued performing her medical duties and caring for patients, earning widespread admiration.

Bugti described Dr Nasar’s resilience as a symbol of strength and a source of pride for the women of Balochistan.

He said individuals who put their personal safety and comfort at risk in the service of humanity deserved recognition and encouragement from the state.

The chief minister said naming a major road in Duki after Dr Nasar would serve as a lasting tribute to her courage and commitment to public service.
