Türkiye, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan are expected to sign a trilateral defence agreement on Friday, according to security sources.
The agreement will be signed in Saudi Arabia during a high-level meeting involving the leaders of the three countries.
Earlier on Friday, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan departed for Riyadh on a one-day working visit, where he is scheduled to hold talks with Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman and Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
The planned agreement comes as the three countries continue to play active diplomatic and security roles in regional affairs. Pakistan has been involved in mediation efforts aimed at easing tensions between the United States and Iran, while Türkiye has taken part in diplomatic initiatives to advance a ceasefire in Gaza.
Pakistan and Saudi Arabia strengthened their security ties last year by signing a Strategic Mutual Defence Agreement in September 2025. The new trilateral pact is expected to further deepen defence cooperation among the three nations.
