One person was killed after two cargo trains collided on a bridge in Munich early on Saturday, causing two rail carriages to derail and crash onto the street below, local police said.
Authorities said the cause of the collision remains under investigation.
Emergency services were called to the scene in Munich’s northern district of Milbertshofen at around 1:40 a.m. local time. A fire department spokesperson said about 60 emergency responders were deployed to the site to carry out rescue and recovery operations.
