A report by American news website Axios has claimed that the United States and Iran have reached an agreement.
According to the report, a preliminary accord has been settled between Washington and Tehran regarding an extension of the 60-day ceasefire and the commencement of nuclear negotiations.
The report stated that final approval of the agreement remains pending from US President Donald Trump.
Axios reported that the proposed agreement also includes a plan to initiate formal negotiations on Iran’s nuclear programme.
