Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko resigned on Sunday as President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced a sweeping government reshuffle aimed at implementing a new political strategy.
In a statement on social media, Zelenskyy said the changes were intended to strengthen Ukraine’s governance and foreign policy.
“Ukraine is changing its political strategy,” he said. “For each priority foreign policy direction, a specific person with significant experience will be responsible, capable of implementing what we agree upon at the leader level.”
The president did not name Svyrydenko’s successor or provide further details on the reasons behind the cabinet changes.
“Personnel changes will begin in Ukraine to ensure the implementation of the updated political strategy,” he added.
Svyrydenko, who became prime minister in July 2025, acknowledged her departure in a post on X.
“At this moment, it is critically important to unite all our strength and resources to make Ukraine stronger,” she wrote.
The reshuffle comes as Ukraine continues to navigate the ongoing war with Russia while seeking to strengthen international support and diplomatic engagement.
