Police have arrested three suspects allegedly involved in the killing of 19-year-old Rehan Yaqoob at the University of the Punjab, investigators said.
According to police, the fatal incident stemmed from a dispute during a football match. Investigators said the victim was allegedly assaulted during the altercation and later died from his injuries.
Police said the suspects fled the scene after the incident but were tracked down and arrested following an investigation.
Authorities said further investigations are underway to determine the full circumstances surrounding the killing.
