A surge in temperatures has gripped several parts of Pakistan, with the mercury rising above 40°C in areas of Sindh, Balochistan, and Punjab.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department, the temperature in Dadu is expected to reach as high as 44°C, while Jacobabad, Rohri, Mohenjo-daro, and Larkana may record highs of 43°C. In Sibi and Turbat, temperatures are likely to touch 42°C. In Punjab, Dera Ghazi Khan could see temperatures reaching 41°C, while Sahiwal, Sargodha, and Lahore are expected to hover around 40°C.
Meanwhile, relatively lower but still high temperatures are forecast for other major cities, including 37°C in Peshawar, 36°C in Islamabad, and 35°C in Karachi.
