Chief of Defence Staff Syed Asim Munir held talks with Lebanese Army Commander Rodolphe Haikal on Tuesday, with both sides agreeing to further strengthen bilateral defence cooperation and military ties.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations, General Haikal was presented with a guard of honour by a contingent of the armed forces upon his arrival at General Headquarters in Rawalpindi.
During the meeting, the two military leaders discussed matters of mutual interest, regional security, defence cooperation and ways to deepen bilateral military relations.
The discussions also focused on expanding professional exchanges between the armed forces of both countries, enhancing training cooperation and strengthening institutional linkages.
