The federal government on Friday reduced the prices of petrol and high-speed diesel (HSD) by Rs1.97 per litre for the coming week, extending recent fuel price cuts amid easing global crude oil prices.
According to a notification issued by the Ministry of Energy’s Petroleum Division, the revised prices will take effect from July 4.
Following the latest reduction, petrol will be priced at Rs297.53 per litre, while high-speed diesel will cost Rs309.50 per litre.
The price adjustment comes as global oil prices continue to ease and energy supplies stabilise following the ceasefire in the Middle East, which helped reduce pressure on international fuel markets.
