Pakistan Anticipates one of Its Coldest Ever Winters

It is expected to be an extremely cold upcoming winter in Pakistan because of the La Nina climate pattern according to a situation report on monsoon floods in Pakistan compiled by the Intersector Coordination Group in collaboration with other partners.

La Nina happens when sea surface temperatures in the Pacific Ocean cool abnormally, causing extreme weather shifts worldwideUN-OCHA said that KPK, AJK and GB are likely to have below-normal rainfall, while southern areas such as Sindh, Balochistan and southern Punjab may get normal precipitation.
