Officials Fired over Viral Arc’teryx fireworks show in Tibet

Four Chinese officials have been sacked after a fireworks display in the Himalayas a month ago by outdoor apparel brand Arc’teryx which drew intense criticism There were videos of Fireworks that were brightly coloured and they resembled a “rising dragon” occurring over a luxuriant Tibetan environment which then ignited environmental concerns and a boycott campaign. Cai Guo-Qiang who designed the show along with Arc’teryx, later apologized. Tibetan authorities said that Arc’teryx and Cai have to provide compensation and help “restore the environment”
