North Korea Fires Missiles a Week before Asia-Pacific Leaders’ meeting

North Korea fired several short-range ballistic missiles on Wednesday, according to South Korea’s military, one week before an important Asia-Pacific leaders’ meeting which is going to happen in South Korea. It was the first launch of ballistic missiles since May, which defies a UN Security council ban on the weapons. It was also the first launch since Lee Jae Myung was elected President of South Korea.
