Normal life has returned to Muzaffarabad, Rawalakot and other areas of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, with schools, businesses and social activities continuing as usual, according to the spokesperson for the AJK inspector general of police.
Police said law and order had been restored after recent unrest in Rawalakot, where violent elements allegedly associated with a proscribed Action Committee disrupted public peace and besieged Combined Military Hospital Rawalakot.
The AJK Police spokesperson said daily life was continuing normally in Muzaffarabad and other districts, with educational institutions, markets and social activities functioning without disruption.
The spokesperson added that residents of Muzaffarabad, like people in other districts, rejected the protest call and continued with their routine activities.
