Noreen Niazi’s Podcast Remarks on Pakistan Army, Israel Draw Widespread Criticism

Jarida Report

A podcast interview featuring Noreen Niazi, sister of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan, has sparked controversy after she made a series of claims regarding “Marka-e-Haq,” the Pakistan Army, and Pakistan’s alleged backchannel relations with Israel, ARY News reported.

During the interview, Niazi alleged that “Marka-e-Haq” was the result of collusion between the Pakistan Army and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. She also claimed that India could “fix” a war within two minutes if it chose to do so.

She further alleged that India refrained from attacking Pakistan on Israel’s instructions because Pakistan was allegedly close to recognising Israel diplomatically.

Niazi also claimed that Israel was seeking diplomatic recognition from Pakistan, but that the process was interrupted by the outbreak of the Iran-Israel conflict. Referring to the United Arab Emirates, she said that since the UAE had already recognised Israel, Pakistan was expected to follow.

Commenting on international relations, Niazi said “America wanted Pakistan to sign the Abraham Accords. That is why Donald Trump used to praise Pakistan.”

According to ARY News, the interview and the allegations made by Niazi drew widespread criticism from defence analysts and members of the public.
