Before going further, to answer one question is very important: Why wasn’t Gaza on the ballot, despite genocide, regional war, and isolation? Israel revealed little appetite for political alternatives.
In this turnout of more than 77%, the highest voter turnout in decades, neither Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s coalition nor the self-styled Zionist Gedi Isenkot’s party secured the 61 seats required for a parliamentary majority in the October 27, 2026 polls.
– Israel election result shows no overall majority as vote count completes.
– This poll was the first since the Hamas-led attack of October 7, 2023, and the subsequent genocidal war against Palestinians in Gaza, as well as a wider conflict that has seen Israel carry out attacks on Iran, Lebanon, Yemen, Syria, and Qatar. But Benjamin Netanyahu, Israel’s longest-serving prime minister, is seeking to extend his tenure after leading the country’s most right-wing governing coalition, which brought together far-right ultranationalist and ultra-Orthodox Jewish parties.
– “The most important thing, I think, for turnout among Netanyahu supporters is the understanding, or the belief, that the alternative coalitions would be weaker on security,” stated an expert on voter behavior who teaches at Essex University. What Netanyahu had been particularly successful in doing, he continued, was creating “this campaign of fear and belief that he is the only one who can deal with this situation, that he is the only strong enough prime minister” – the idea that Netanyahu is the only and the strongest leader that can lead Israel through these recent times and the post-October 7 war. War and occupation, according to Shenhav-Shahrabani, were not choices to be made on the ballot paper. Instead, they had become the prism through which, over decades, Israelis had come to view themselves.

Israel vote – no winner
Opposition: 52
Netanyahu: 53
Arab parties: 18
61 needed for majority to make Government
A massive political shift in Israel. Benjamin Netanyahu has officially lost his parliamentary majority. Now, as usual, government will be made with the help of other parties. A Muslim leader, Mansur Abbas, who is defined as kingmaker, has to play Netanyahu’s politics under his feet, stating that he is not the only one to defend Israel alone, but we are also citizens of Israel and defend our country. To grab the next reign in his hand, PM Netanyahu has shown his project that he will now put all his attention to develop an extreme naval force to defend his country.
What to talk about Christians in Israel? Those Christians who are living on Jordan’s own land in Israel are having a good and stable life, but Palestinian Christians living in Gaza have been vanished from the earth using professional forces. Arab countries who are allies of Israel (Netanyahu government) will be involved to help Benjamin Netanyahu and extend the tenure of his government. If a new body of Israel comes, then it is a big danger: war duration in the Middle East will also extend.
May God bless peace in the Middle East.
