Imran Khan Likely to Return to Adiala Jail After Treatment, Says PML-N Senator

Jarida Report

Former prime minister and PTI founder Imran Khan is expected to return to Adiala Jail once his medical treatment is completed, PML-N Senator Nasir Butt said, dismissing speculation about a possible political deal or transfer to Bani Gala.

Speaking to ARY News, Butt said there was no indication that Khan would remain in hospital after receiving treatment.

“After his treatment, the situation will remain the same. He will return to Adiala,” he said.

The PML-N senator also rejected suggestions that Khan could be released under an agreement with the government or that his current circumstances were part of a wider political conspiracy.

“There is no deal and no conspiracy,” Butt said, adding that predictions of a major political change in Khan’s favour had so far not materialised.

Turning to the PTI’s planned September 27 protest, Butt questioned the party’s claim that it could mobilise two million supporters. He pointed to previous large-scale protest announcements which, in his view, had failed to draw the numbers predicted by the party.

PTI, however, has maintained that its plans for the September 27 mobilisation remain unchanged.

Butt also criticised Khan’s political strategy and his attacks on state institutions, arguing that such an approach had made prospects for political reconciliation more difficult.
