Gold prices continued their upward trend in Pakistan and international markets on Saturday, rising for the third consecutive day, while silver prices remained unchanged.
In the international bullion market, gold gained $57 per ounce to reach $4,604.
According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of gold in the domestic market increased by Rs5,700 per tola to Rs482,936.
The price of 10 grams of gold climbed by Rs4,972 to Rs414,039.
Silver prices, meanwhile, remained stable. Silver was unchanged at Rs7,379 per tola, while the price of 10 grams stood at Rs6,326.
The latest increase follows another strong rise on Friday, when gold gained Rs5,200 per tola to Rs477,136, while the price of 10 grams increased by Rs4,458 to Rs409,067.
Silver had also risen a day earlier, gaining Rs210 per tola and Rs180 per 10 grams, before holding steady on Saturday.
