From American Cup to Royal Lips There are many slips.

King Charles III and Queen Camilla concluded a four-day state visit to the United States on April 30, 2026, marking the 250th anniversary of American independence. Hosted by President Donald Trump, the visit included a White House state dinner, a speech to Congress, a 9/11 memorial visit in New York City, and a community celebration in Virginia.

The purpose of the visit was to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence and strengthen United States-United Kingdom ties. For this, the royal guests were welcomed by President Trump, who visited the United Kingdom last year.

Welcome at Washington, D.C.: On April 27, the visit began with a military welcome at the White House, an honor-laying at Arlington National Cemetery, and a state dinner. King Charles also addressed both houses of Congress.

On April 28, 2026, King Charles III delivered a historic address to a joint session of the United States Congress, emphasizing the enduring US-UK alliance, the importance of checks on executive power, environmental concerns, and support for Ukraine against Russian aggression. The speech marked the 250th anniversary of the US and highlighted democratic values.

In his address, the King emphasized that the partnership between the United Kingdom and the United States is essential for meeting modern challenges. As the United Kingdom also wants safety for Arabian countries and Southeast Asia, he stressed that Iran should not be allowed to become a nuclear-weapon country. He called for commitment to Ukraine as the war surpasses four years.

Four years, Charles emphasized the importance of checks on executive power, referencing Magna Carta. He said that environmental concerns need much attention, as there is a “collapse of critical natural systems.”

King Charles received a standing ovation for his remarks on democracy and for calling on the nations to rededicate themselves to each other. The address, held at the US Capitol, was the first by a British monarch in 35 years. It was a key moment of his visit, aimed at strengthening the United States and United Kingdom relationship during turbulent times.

President Trump said, “Charles agrees with me, even more than I do,” at the White House state dinner.

Slips from a cup to lips.

Our glamour boy, President Trump, drew media and people’s attention at the beginning of our royal guests’ visit, when the guests were welcomed and introduced to celebrities of America standing in a queue. The Queen was shaking hands with the welcoming dignitaries and taking time to shake hands. She had not seen Trump for a while, and President Trump jumped to stand in disguise and said something to many people, and the Queen was very happy with Trump, although the entry of Trump was not liked by his opponent, but those to whom President Trump shook hands were very happy, proud to shake hands with the President.

President made his guest happy, Prince Charles, who always considered him “Prince Charming”; you should remember that you were a beloved Prince Charming, but only for old ladies, like my mother, who had a crush on you, and now she is in heaven with Jesus; perhaps her eyes are still on you.

King and Trump joke: “If it wasn’t for us, you’d be speaking French.”

President Trump praised King Charles III for getting the Democrats to stand during his Congress address, as the pair exchanged jokes during their speeches at a state dinner on Tuesday. During the banquet on the second day of the King and Queen’s state visit to the United States, the King also made quips about the Middle East crisis and a naked Sir Winston Churchill in the White House, and Trump’s “readjustments” to the White House. He also joked that, if it wasn’t for the US, “you’d be speaking French,” in reference to a battle between Britain and France to control North America in the eighteenth century.

Jokes, gifts, and a state dinner – Washington rolls out the red carpet for King and Queen.

New York City (April 29): The royals visited the 9/11 Memorial and Museum in Lower Manhattan, meeting with first responders and families of victims.

Virginia (April 30): The trip concludes with a parade and block parade and block party in Front Royal, Virginia, followed by a visit to Shenandoah National Park.

Significance: This was the first state visit by a British monarch since Queen Elizabeth II in 2007, making it a historic moment for the US and UK.

King Charles continued to Bermuda for a visit to the British Overseas Territory.

One thing is adjusted when these two leaders come together on one point: that Iran as a nuclear-weapon power, and its capacity to make long-range missiles, is dangerous for the Middle East and Arabian countries and soybean countries of Europe; the United Kingdom has allowed America to use its airbases and aerodromes in future. This meeting will also give positive signals to NATO countries to be allies of America.

May God bless America and those countries that are trying to bring peace in the Middle East, specifically Pakistan.
