Doug Martin was picked 31st overall in the first round of the 2012 NFL draft after a special career at Boise State. He finished his career with 5,356 years rushing and 30 touchdowns in six seasons playing for the Buccaneers and one with the Raiders. The Buccaneers released a statement saying: “We are deeply saddened to learn of the sudden and unexpected passing of Doug Martin. … Doug made a lasting impact on our franchise.”
He was selected as one of the top 50 players in Franchise history as part of the team’s 50 year anniversary celebration.
