Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar on Sunday reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to promoting peace and stability in the region under the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding during a telephone conversation with Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA), the two leaders held an in-depth discussion on the evolving regional situation and expressed concern over recent developments.
During the call, Dar reiterated Pakistan’s resolve to continue working for regional peace in line with the Islamabad MoU, the ministry said.
The foreign minister also conveyed Pakistan’s condolences to Saudi Arabia over the helicopter crash that claimed the lives of 14 people earlier on Sunday.
