Jude Bellingham produced another match-winning performance as England came from behind to defeat Norway 2-1 after extra time on Saturday, booking a place in the 2026 FIFA World Cup semifinals.
Thomas Tuchel’s side had to battle through intense heat and humidity in Miami, recovering after Norway took the lead in the 36th minute when Andreas Schjelderup’s dipping strike beat goalkeeper Jordan Pickford.
England found the equaliser deep into first-half stoppage time, with Bellingham racing onto Anthony Gordon’s pass before calmly finishing past Orjan Nyland.
Norway threatened to regain the lead after the break, with a goal ruled out for a foul by Erling Haaland in the build-up, while David Moller Wolfe struck the crossbar.
The decisive moment came three minutes into extra time when Nyland could only parry Morgan Rogers’ shot into the path of Bellingham, who reacted quickest to score his second goal of the night.
The victory sends England into their third World Cup semifinal since lifting the trophy in 1966, where they will face defending champions Argentina in a blockbuster last-four clash.
