Karachi Grenade Attack Injures Three Policemen, One Civilian

Jarida Report

On March 28, 2025, a grenade attack targeted a police camp under Karachi’s Quaidabad bridge, injuring three police officers and a passerby.

Counter-Terrorism Department Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Irfan Ali Bahadur stated that the incident is being treated as an act of terrorism, although no group has claimed responsibility. Initial investigations suggest that suspects threw the grenade from the bridge into the police camp.

Malir SSP Kashif Abbasi identified the injured as two Police Qaumi Razakars personnel, a Special Security Unit member, and a civilian. They were transported to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre, where their conditions are reported as stable.

Earlier this month, a similar grenade attack injured three policemen at Karachi’s Preedy police station, highlighting ongoing security challenges in the city.
