Velo Sound Station has unveiled its third season with a cinematic transformation under the leadership of new executive producer Bilal Lashari, renowned for directing The Legend of Maula Jatt. The recently released trailer introduces notable additions, including actor and musician Fawad Khan and a special feature involving the late Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan. Lashari hinted at Fawad Khan’s participation marking a return to original music, though not with his former band Entity Paradigm (EP). Details regarding Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan’s inclusion remain under wraps, with assurances that it does not involve artificial intelligence.
The production team for this season includes co-producer Ammara Hikmat and four music producers collaborating with Lashari. Featured artists encompass Hasan Raheem, Natasha Noorani, Abdul Hannan, Adnan Dhool, Shae Gill, Zain Zohaib, Risham Faiz Bhutta, Annural Khalid, Faris Shafi, Young Stunners, Fawad Khan, Atif Aslam, and Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan. Lashari aims to deliver a “larger than life perspective” by varying each episode’s presentation—ranging from narrative-driven to performance-based and VFX-enhanced—to maintain unpredictability and freshness.
This season’s cinematic approach reflects Lashari’s intent to redefine music platform visuals, blending his expertise in film direction with musical storytelling. He emphasizes the opportunity to merge cinematic presentation with musical performances, offering audiences a fresh and engaging experience.
