Jarida Report

RAWALPINDI: Security forces foiled an infiltration attempt along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border in Kurram district, killing 12 militants during an exchange of fire, the military’s media wing, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), said on Sunday.

According to the ISPR, a group identified by the military as Fitna Al Khawarij attempted to enter Pakistan through the border. Security forces repelled the attempt, while Naib Subedar Hidayat Aman was killed during the exchange of fire.

In a separate operation in Balochistan’s Barkhan district, the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) said it killed 10 militants during an intelligence-based operation in Rarasham Valley under Operation Radd-ul-Fitna 3.

The CTD said weapons and ammunition were recovered from those killed, while two CTD personnel were injured. The department said security forces would continue operations against militancy in the province.
