Police Investigate Alleged Dark Web Links in Karachi Child Rape and Murder Case

Jarida Report

The investigation into the rape and murder of six-year-old Wali in Karachi’s Lea Market has widened as police examine whether the arrested suspect had links to the dark web, according to ARY News.

Investigators are carrying out a forensic analysis of the suspect Hamza’s mobile phones after reportedly recovering videos depicting violence and torture. Officials are also probing his alleged online activities, though no official confirmation has been made regarding any connection to the dark web.

The child was allegedly sexually assaulted and murdered before his body was thrown from the third floor of a residential building in Lea Market, a crime that has sparked widespread outrage across Karachi.

Residents told ARY News that the suspect had no known source of income but regularly bought snacks and cold drinks for neighbourhood children and owned expensive iPhones despite being unemployed. They urged police to investigate his finances, digital devices and online contacts as part of the ongoing probe.

Authorities said forensic examination of the suspect’s electronic devices will help determine whether any digital evidence is connected to the case. The investigation remains underway.
