Pakistan Receives 22 Iranian Crew Members Interdicted by US Authorities

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar on Friday announced the safe arrival in Karachi of 22 Iranian crew members from the vessel Lenore/Davina, who had recently been interdicted by US authorities.

In a post on X, Dar said the crew members had reached Karachi safely and that Pakistan was coordinating with Iranian diplomatic missions to facilitate their return home.

“I am pleased to share that twenty-two Iranian crew members of the vessel Lenore/Davina, recently interdicted by US authorities, have safely arrived in Karachi this afternoon,” he said.

Dar added that arrangements were being finalised in close coordination with the Iranian missions in Pakistan to ensure the crew members’ earliest and safe repatriation to Iran.
