Iran on Tuesday reopened the western portion of its airspace, restoring round-the-clock operations for domestic and international transit flights, the country’s civil aviation authority announced.
According to state broadcaster IRIB, the authority said the western airspace has become fully operational, matching the status of the eastern airspace, which had already resumed operations.
The aviation authority said the necessary arrangements have been completed to facilitate both domestic and overflight traffic through Iranian airspace.
It added that all airports across the country have been authorised to operate in line with the conditions outlined in the Aeronautical Information Publication (AIP).
Meanwhile, Kish and Asaluyeh airports in southern Iran will continue operating from sunrise to sunset, the authority said.
