Five Iranian vessels have passed through the Strait of Hormuz since the United States lifted its naval blockade under the recently announced agreement with Iran.
According to Iranian media reports, the vessels included three crude oil tankers and two cargo ships, marking one of the first signs of renewed maritime activity following the easing of restrictions.
Iranian outlets also reported that a major shipment of crude oil has departed for Iranian ports.
The increased movement of vessels through the strategic waterway is being viewed as an indication of improving conditions and the gradual restoration of commercial shipping in one of the world’s most important energy corridors.
