7 Killed, 33 Injured as Storms Lash KP

At least seven people were killed and 33 injured as strong winds, heavy rain and lightning strikes swept across parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa over the past 24 hours, according to the Provincial Disaster Management Authority.

The worst-hit district was Bannu, where collapsing roofs and walls killed four people, including two children, and injured 24 others, among them nine children and nine women.

Lightning strikes claimed two lives in Mansehra, including a woman, while another person was killed in Shangla.

The severe weather also damaged homes and infrastructure and killed 25 livestock animals, adding to losses suffered by affected communities.
