Foreign ministers from 12 countries, including Pakistan, on Thursday strongly condemned Israel’s reported assault on the Global Sumud Flotilla, describing the incident as a violation of international law.
The condemnation followed reports that Israeli naval forces targeted vessels participating in the flotilla’s Spring 2026 mission, which sought to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza and draw attention to the ongoing crisis in the territory.
According to details, the incident occurred in international waters in the Mediterranean Sea, off the coast of Greece.
In a joint statement, the foreign ministers of Türkiye, Brazil, Jordan, Pakistan, Spain, Malaysia, Bangladesh, Colombia, the Maldives, South Africa and Libya said the flotilla represented a peaceful civilian initiative aimed at highlighting the humanitarian situation in Gaza.
