Lahore is set to come alive with colour and celebration as Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has announced a Basant festival event scheduled for February 7 at Liberty Chowk.
The announcement was made via a message on the social media platform X, in which the chief minister invited residents from Lahore and across Punjab to join the festivities. In her post, Maryam Nawaz called on citizens to come together and celebrate the traditional Basant festival, a long-associated cultural symbol of the provincial capital. According to the chief minister, the main celebration will take place at Liberty Chowk, a central location in Lahore known for hosting major public gatherings.
