In a related development, the court denied Aleema’s request to be exempted from court appearances to facilitate travel abroad. Earlier in the week, the Islamabad High Court had ordered the removal of her name from the Provisional National Immigration List and Passport Control List, allowing her to seek travel permission from the relevant trial court.
