Punjab Declares Emergency in Hospitals, Reserves 50% Beds Amid Indian Missile Attacks

In response to recent Indian missile attacks in various parts of Punjab, the provincial government has declared a health emergency across all public sector tertiary and teaching hospitals. As part of this directive, 50% of hospital beds have been reserved to manage potential casualties. Hospital administrators have been instructed to ensure uninterrupted medical services, maintain fully equipped operation theaters, and guarantee the availability of essential medical supplies and functional biomedical equipment. Additionally, all medical staff leaves have been canceled to ensure round-the-clock readiness. The Young Doctors Association (YDA) Punjab has also suspended its ongoing strike, pledging full participation in emergency response efforts.
