An investigation by The Washington Post has revealed that terrorists who attacked the Jaffar Express train in Balochistan on March 11, 2025, used weapons left behind by U.S. forces during their 2021 withdrawal from Afghanistan. Among the recovered arms was an M4A1 carbine rifle manufactured by Colt, with a serial number linking it to U.S. military stockpiles. These weapons, originally supplied to Afghan forces, have reportedly found their way into the hands of insurgents in Pakistan, including the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), raising significant security concerns.
