8 Militants Killed in Intelligence-Based Operations in Balochistan: ISPR

Jarida Report

Pakistan’s security forces killed eight militants in two intelligence-based operations carried out in the Kharan and Mastung districts of Balochistan, the military’s media wing ISPR said.

According to the ISPR, the operations were conducted on June 25 and 26 as part of an ongoing counterterrorism campaign targeting what it described as “Indian proxies, Fitna Al Hindustan.”

In the first operation on June 25, security forces acted on intelligence regarding the movement of a group of militants in Kharan. The military said three militants were killed in a “precise and skilful engagement,” while several others were injured.

In a separate intelligence-based operation on June 26 in Mastung, security forces targeted the suspected presence of a suicide bomber. The ISPR said troops engaged the militants’ hideout, and after an intense exchange of fire, five militants, including a suicide bomber, were killed.

The military said the operations were part of its continued efforts to eliminate militant threats in the region.
