12 Killed as War-Damaged Gaza Building Collapses

Jarida Report

At least 12 people, including children, have been killed and dozens remain missing after a war-damaged building collapsed in Gaza City, according to local rescue teams.

The multi-storey building in the Tal al-Hawa area collapsed into a pile of rubble as rescue workers searched for survivors and bodies.

Residents said 10 families had been living in the building despite warnings that it was unsafe.

The Hamas-run Civil Defence said rescuers initially had to work without proper equipment due to restrictions on machinery entering Gaza, though they later managed to borrow heavy machinery.

Separately, Israeli air strikes on Tuesday killed at least five Palestinians, including two children and a Hamas commander, according to Palestinian health officials and Hamas sources.

The Israeli military said it had killed Hamas fighters in southern and northern Gaza.

Medical Aid for Palestinians also said a patient was killed by an Israeli drone at a health centre it supports in Jabalia.
