Trump Says Iran Denuclearization Talks ‘Moving Along Well’

Jarida Report

US President Donald Trump said on Wednesday that talks on Iran’s denuclearization are progressing well, expressing optimism as negotiations continue in Qatar.

Speaking to reporters before departing for North Dakota, Trump said US envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner had held “very good meetings” in Doha.

He dismissed concerns over a return to wider conflict with Iran, saying Tehran had “come a long way” and that diplomacy was producing positive results.

Trump’s comments came after a Wall Street Journal report said he had recently discussed the possibility of renewed military action with senior advisers, including Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, but had opted to continue pursuing a diplomatic solution.

Referring to recent US strikes, Trump said the military had “hit them very hard last week,” but added that the current diplomatic track was working. “We’re getting along very well,” he said.
