The US and Iran have expanded their military confrontation over the past 24 hours with fresh strikes, missiles, and drone attacks across the Persian Gulf, despite diplomatic efforts to preserve a fragile ceasefire.
The two sides exchanged fire for a second consecutive day, fueling fears that the truce has effectively collapsed and that the conflict is escalating once again.
The US military struck around 90 targets across Iran, with Iranian authorities reporting that around 14 people were killed across five provinces.
Tehran responded by targeting US-linked assets in Bahrain, Kuwait, and Qatar, while escalating tensions in the Strait of Hormuz threatened global shipping and oil markets.
The US has launched hundreds of strikes on Iran after President Donald Trump said the ceasefire was over and signed a new round of strikes on Iran.
After these latest strikes, explosions have been reported again following an overnight exchange of attacks.
Ports often used by Iranian state-made ships in Sirik and Bandar Abbas were hit, and Trump said in a post that this is retribution for yesterday’s bombing of US ships by Iran.
If it happens again, it will get much worse. Iranian authorities stated they will consider any immediate response.
US Central Command (CENTCOM) said the latest strikes were carried out to defend freedom of navigation in the vital waterway and accused Iran of holding the region responsible for recent unjustified aggression against commercial shipping and civilian crews freely navigating a vital international waterway.
What next after the new escalation begins?
Iran is threatening a “crushing” response after the US launched more than 80 new strikes against military sites.
In an immediate response, the US will start a full-scale war.
It is assumed that underground, Iran is working on a device that can change the power of war to their side; this is a natural behavior for them.
But Iran’s regime should remember that their enemies are living at their throats, so everything they think in their minds goes to their enemies in milliseconds.
The best way is to make peace, without hot and cold war, so that the country and its citizens can live long.
- My request to the peace broker is to give respect to Imam Mushed. The city should turn into Imam City as an independent state, and its independence should be respected by any future regime of Iran, the United Nations, and all countries, and this new Imam City should be without arms and ammunition.
- Iran’s new regime should be elected under democracy by the Iranian people. Iran should f irmly stand for peace.
- Be a country without nuclear capability. Nuclear capability is a real expense; it squeezes countries’ citizens and all facilities. If your citizens are happy, no country can defeat them.
- Remember, American forces are fighting with you only to save Muslims of Arabian countries who are friends of Arab nations and wish you peace.
