Global pop icon Taylor Swift and NFL star Travis Kelce have officially married in a lavish ceremony at Madison Square Garden, with comedian Adam Sandler officiating the event.
According to Swift’s longtime publicist, the couple wore Christian Dior for the occasion and opted not to have traditional bridesmaids or groomsmen. Instead, Swift’s brother, Austin Swift, served as Man of Honour, while former NFL player Jason Kelce stood beside the groom as Best Man.
The high-profile wedding transformed one of Manhattan’s busiest areas into a tightly secured venue, attracting a host of celebrities from the worlds of entertainment and sport. Among those reportedly in attendance were actors Hugh Grant and Jason Sudeikis, singer Benson Boone, and model Gigi Hadid.
Large crowds of fans gathered outside the venue throughout Friday, with many singing Taylor Swift’s songs and wearing concert merchandise. Others climbed nearby structures in an effort to catch a glimpse of the celebrations.
Wedding festivities began on Thursday with a more intimate gathering attended by around 100 guests. City permit documents described the event as a “pre-party.”
The main celebration took place on Friday, featuring expanded security measures and extensive event infrastructure. A large tent was erected outside the arena to allow guests arriving in blacked-out SUVs to enter discreetly, while several Midtown Manhattan streets were temporarily closed. Venue staff also installed curtains and gazebos to accommodate the high-profile event.
