Shab-e-Meraj was observed across the country on Friday night with religious fervor, great respect and devotion.
Shab-e-Meraj is a holy night for Muslims as it’s a night when the Holy Prophet (PBUH) ascended to the highest levels of Heaven. The faithful gathered at mosques in great numbers after Isha and offered special prayers that continued till Fajr. Religious scholars in their sermons highlighted the importance of the night and its blessings.
They also highlighted teachings and various aspects of the life of the Holy Prophet (PBUH). Besides mosques, houses and streets were decorated with colorful buntings. Women spent night while praying at their homes.
