All public and private educational institutions across Punjab have reopened today following the winter break. The winter holidays, which began on December 20, provided students with a total of 30 days off. According to the Education Department, academic activities have now resumed after the winter holidays.
A formal notification has also been issued outlining the new school timings for government schools across the province. As per the schedule, schools will reopen at 8:30 am and close at 1:30 pm from Monday to Thursday and at 12:15 pm on Fridays. These revised timings will remain in effect from January 19 to April 15, 2026.
