Qatar has lifted its temporary suspension on maritime navigation activities, allowing all types of vessels and ships to resume operations with immediate effect.
In a statement, the Ministry of Transport said all maritime activities could return to normal and urged operators to comply with existing maritime regulations and safety instructions.
The decision reverses a June 29 advisory that had suspended sailing and fishing activities until further notice, while commercial shipping remained exempt.
Qatari authorities did not provide a reason for lifting the restrictions. The original suspension came a day after officials reported that a Qatari national had died from shrapnel injuries sustained during military operations in the region after his vessel went missing.
